IndiBlogger Meet - #WordUp

Who wakes up early on a Saturday? Nah not me.. any other blogger... Don't think so.. But 20th September, there were atleast 50 early birds to get hold of the proverbial worm. In this case a Moto G. Nah, its not just the materialistic things that made these birds, rather bloggers get up and get going. It was the Wordup Meet hosted by BigRock and IndiBlogger.

A welcome song "Word... Upppp!!" follwed by "Games people play" by the IndiRock Band to shake off what was left of the sleepiness in all our minds and we were ready for some Mindblowing Gyaan by all the speakers right from Vinit Goenka to Snigdha Manchanda. If someone were to ask me to summarize the day in 10 bullet points, I'd shoot the bullets through that person's head and award myself points. So if you want to know what these guys shared, you missed it buddy - go burn, you should have been there. If you are lucky, someone might post about the sessions, but I doubt anyone would be able to do full justice to all those wonderful speakers.

Moving on, the day concluded with a small - should I say performance, by Bhavish Ailani which had all of us in splits. And then we had a formal training session by Prof. Nihal Lazarus in the ancient art or modern science of Head Banging.

Ohh ohh and finally there was this bag of goodies for all those who attended, a Big Rock Bag with a coupon for a FREE ".ME domain and wordpress hosting" for a year. And yeah there was also this strange looking gizmo which was supposed to amplify sounds using some advanced alien technology called NFA - Near Field Audio or something like that. Ummm and there were also lots of prizes up for grabs - from the Moto X right down to the potato and banana.. yesss potato and banana!!!

I met some wonderful people there. From the usual suspects - Vineet, Anoop, Renie to my good friends Prasanna the puzzler and Sherna the.. Meow to the new faces that I met for the first time - Darshan (he won the banana), Vallari, Prerna and a Shahen (he's just 13 :O)

The big B's - BigRock and BlueFrog along with IndiBlogger were all great hosts and it was an awesome experience for me. 

PS: Still fiddling with that weird gizmo. Have been able to use it as an ordinary speaker yes, but NFA - sorry still working on that. Me no techie. Somebody HELPPPPP!!!
