Been reading for these past 2 days. Nothing specific, just a random set of blogs. Haven't "written" a post in the past few months, the last month witnessing a flurry of photographic posts which can be seen here. So just penning down a few random thoughts.
Read a post about different kinds of bloggers based on the way they respond to the comments that their readers post. Trouble is, I find it really very difficult to fit myself in any of those stereotypes. WHY?
I have been on and off blogosphere since March 2008. But have always written for myself. What I write always manages to make me smile. At least most of it. Makes me wonder, I do write pretty well. Now that would be like Donkey praising his own tail, but so be it. This is my space :D
And then I read this post about people coming and going in your life. Some staying and making a mark on your life. So much that you can't imagine life without them. But one fine day, they are gone. Some people are devastated, some curse those who left, some simply delete "the Departed" from their memories and Hard drives. Life moves on. There was a nice comment on this post. Not reposting the comment, just my version of what I understood.
Most relationships are based on Need rather than (like people claim) on Love. People need company, need someone to share their spare time, their thoughts, their experiences, their worries etc etc. So a relationship. People need someone to do the dishes, to go out and buy the groceries, to hold all the packages whilst they shop, to drive them home. So a relationship. So Need is the primary reason for any relationship and Love just raises its head once in a while.
This can be a great topic for debate. But my blog is not one of the highly visited ones, so I can be at ease without worry of being flamed/trolled/rebuked.
To conclude, I also read a sad story - can't call it love story as the relationship ended in just 4 love letters and a phone call. But the highlight of this story was that though both the girl and the guy were heart broken, they had something positive to look forward to. Not sure if there was enough consolation for a heartbreak. But yeah, it's been a long time since I read such a love story.
What made me write this post. One of my readers (may his tribe increase) commented on a post of mine, saying that I have a great knack of posting poems/songs that go along with a photo that I capture and post. So why not try and pen my own lines. This is the start to following that piece of advice
The title of this post is inspired from a post on the Facebook page for Crossword Bookstores. Image taken from that post.
I stumbled into your blog and was pleasantly surprised to see my story being quoted.
ReplyDeleteThanks TF. Really enjoyed reading the story. Welcome to my blog.
DeleteShri beautifully written. You write very well. I read a lot..a lot these days but for me what stands out here is I can feel the person. It is like you were talking to me in person and I could see the expressions changing on your face.
